  1. These Booking Terms and Conditions apply to the booking of any The Edge Ltd activities as set out in the booking confirmation
    These Booking Terms and Conditions contain important information concerning participation by you and all members of your party and accordingly, you acknowledge and agree that you shall ensure that all members of your party are aware of and accept these Booking Terms and Conditions.No variation to these Booking Terms and Conditions shall be binding unless agreed in writing by The Edge Ltd.

    • The Edge Ltd reserves the right to make changes to the activities whether to conform with any applicable safety or other statutory requirements or otherwise.
    1. All Clients are required to act responsibly and courteously at all times and to respect all Staff and other Clients. The Edge Ltd shall be entitled to prevent any person from undertaking or completing the activities in the event that it deems their behaviour unsuitable. No refund will be payable in such circumstances.
    2. The Edge Ltd will not be responsible for any damage to or loss of clothing or personal items resulting from participation in the activities.
    3. These Booking Terms and Conditions incorporate The Edge Ltd Acknowledgement of Risk & Activity requirements
    • We have a reasonably priced open air café on the activities site and a licensed restaurant within the complex.  You may bring a picnic on site but there will be a £1 per person surcharge to cover our costs in maintenance of the land and litter removal.

     

    Booking Confirmation

    1. No booking shall be deemed to have been accepted unless done so in writing (which includes email) by The Edge Ltd.
    2. Session dates/times can only be cancelled or changed by the customer within 48 hours of making the booking,

    after this period has elapsed a rebooking fee will be payable, although participants can be changed at any time.

    • If anyone fails to attend or to participate for any reason deposits paid are non-refundable and a

    cancellation fee will be charged.

    1. If any participant changes their mind once safety equipment has been fitted and/or the activity has commenced or

    fails to complete the activity  for any reason a refund will not be given

    1. Any typographical, clerical or other error or omission in any booking confirmation or other documentation (including electronic documentation) issued by The Edge Ltd shall be subject to correction without any liability on their part.
    2. You must advise The Edge Ltd within 48 hours of any mistake in your activities booking confirmation.
    • The Edge Ltd shall use it’s reasonable endeavours to ensure that you and your party’s participation commences at the time booked and it shall be the responsibility of each client to ensure they arrive at least twenty minutes prior to their start time so they can be processed prior to their activity starting. Late arrivals will have their activities shortened to finish at the designated time unless it is practicable to run the activity later without impinging on another group’s booking.
    • Late arrivals for a group booking, wherever possible, will be incorporated into the group which has already started. As Edge Outdoor Activities are committed for all groups to start on time, group bookings will not be delayed to wait for late arrivals.
    1. Postponement of a Session
    2. The Edge Ltd reserves the right to cancel a session and postpone bookings at anytime due to the weather or any other circumstance that could affect the health and safety of customers or staff.
    3. Only The Edge Ltd shall be entitled to postpone a session for any reason once a booking has been made.
    • In the event that we decide to postpone a session and bookings made for that session we shall use our reasonable endeavours to notify clients as soon as possible.
    1. Should Edge Outdoor Activities have to postpone bookings at any time due to the weather or any other circumstance; an alternative session will be arranged at a time suitable to both parties. Full refunds are not available.
    2. Rebooking following postponement of a session, must be made by the client within 28 days from the original activity date. This is the Client’s responsibility and beyond this time rebooking may be refused.

     

     

    Prices and Payment

    1. Subject to any terms agreed in writing between The Edge Ltd and the Client, our charges shall be calculated at our current rates.
    2. Deposits are nonrefundable.
    • Refunds requested within 48 hours of the booking being made will be subject to the deduction of a card transaction fee
    1. Refunds agreed outside of 48 hours from the booking being made will be subject to the deduction of a minimum £5.00 administration fee
    2. Individual & small group bookings (< 10 people):
    • Full payment is due at the time of booking.
    1. Group and Party bookings (> 10 people):
    • Nonrefundable deposit due at the time of booking, balance due at least seven days before the activity date.
    • Final numbers must be confirmed fourteen days before the event date. Once confirmed, there can be no fee reductions due to reducing participant numbers.
    • Once the participant numbers have been confirmed you can no longer cancel any activities (although the participants can be changed).
    • Should there be last minute additions to the group we will always attempt to accommodate them (additional fees will apply).
    • Should you be collecting participation fees from individuals we would recommend you do so in advance, as the party leader will be liable for full payment of any balance due.
    • Bank transfer is the preferred method payment. Credit/debit card payments can be made on the phone (NB a transaction fee may be payable should you choose this method). Cheques should be made payable to Edge Outdoor Activities.
    • Corporate Groups
    • Nonrefundable deposit due at the time of booking, balance due fourteen days before the activity date.
    • Final numbers must be confirmed fourteen days before the activity date. Once confirmed, there can be no fee reductions due to reducing participant numbers.
    • Once the participant numbers have been confirmed you can no longer cancel any activities (although the participants can be changed).
    • Should there be last minute additions to the group we shall always attempt

    to accommodate them (additional fees will apply).

    • Invoices should be settled by BACS or cheque payment to Edge Outdoor Activities

     

    Liabilities

    1. Except as otherwise provided in these Booking Terms and Conditions The Edge Ltd shall not be responsible for the loss off or damage to any property or person arising from the booking or participation in the activities.
    2. Parking facilities are available on site and any vehicles are left at the owners’ risk and subject to any conditions.
    • No responsibility can be taken by The Edge for travel or accommodation costs incurred by Clients where a session is postponed at late notice.

     

     

    Acknowledgement of Risk and Activity requirements – see copy for full details

    1. General Recreation Clients and Children’s Parties: all participants or, if under 16 years, a parent/guardian, will be required to sign the The Edge Ltd Acknowledgement of Risk stating that he/she is aware of the activity requirements
    2. Schools & Youth groups: The Organiser must have the The Edge Ltd Acknowledgement of Risk signed by a parent/guardian for each child under 16 years stating that they are aware of the activity requirements and to confirm visiting teaching staff, leaders, parents and carers retain overall responsibility for all children in their care.
    • Corporate Groups & Off-Site hire: The Client will be required to sign the The Edge Ltd Acknowledgement of Risk stating that he/she are aware of the activity requirements.
    1. Activity Requirements – anyone who does not meet these requirements will not be allowed to participate in the chosen activity and it is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party meet these requirements when booking.

    Safety

    1. Participation in the activities of The Edge Ltd is not without risk. All Clients will receive instruction from a staff member prior to beginning an activity.
    2. The Edge Ltd reserves the right to refuse admittance to the activities or to prevent any person from undertaking or completing the activities in the event that it deems they are not capable to proceed. This includes anyone who does not comply with the safety rules or advice, who misuses The Edge Ltd equipment and safety systems or who is deemed under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No refunds or compensation will be payable in such circumstances.
    • All participants must be confirmed capable to proceed to the next level of any activity by a The Edge Ltd Instructor and the Instructor’s decision on the day is final.
    1. All Clients are required to wear any necessary safety equipment provided by The Edge Ltd and fitted by an instructor in order to participate.
    2. All participants should be reasonably fit and healthy. The activities may be physically and mentally demanding and require varying degrees of agility, strength and stamina. If participants have medical concerns they are advised to consult their own Doctor in advance. All Clients/participants certify that they do not have a medical condition which might be made worse by participating in an activity with The Edge Ltd or which might increase the chance of me being involved in an accident or incident, resulting in injury to themselves or others including but not limited to; heart condition, epilepsy, back, shoulder, neck or joint problems.
    3. Due to the physical nature of the activities The Edge recommends that pregnant women do not take part.
    • Clients with a disability should contact The Edge Ltd in advance to discuss the possibility of safe participation.
    • No refunds or compensation will be payable should the Client/participant decide not to participate or complete any of the activities for any reason.

     

    Childrens Day Camp

    1.    It is important that the young people arrive prepared for a full day of activities.  Please ensure:

     

    1. They arrive with money for lunch/and or refreshments, a packed lunch or lunch has been booked in advance.
    2. They are dressed for the weather.
    3. They have strong robust footwear, not open toes or flip flops
    4. They have a hat to prevent heat stroke
    5. They have sun-cream
    6. They have a water bottle
    7. They are able to tie long hair back
    8. Parents do not leave young people without completing a medical form which includes contact details.
